Well, NOT the actual magizine... but The article about Guild, I want to read that one. Can anyone tell me how to get a read of that ACOUSTIC GUITAR article about Guild Guitars? ( GUILD was on the cover ) It was around dec 2007 (?)
I have most of those magizines, but somehow missed out on THAT ONE!!! I dont need the actual magizine, but would like to read that article. Is there a thread here about it? maybe that would contain it? I imagine you all would have chatted about that....but i cant seem to find it here. Another inquiring mind!
THANKS in advance :D Southern

Here you go boyz ... Extra Extra read all about it! LTG's Thread re/ AG article on Guild Guitars, 4th quarter 2007 Tough reading but full of links ... some of which might take you to the on-line version if it's still on the web. If you want to skip to the good parts, go to page 9 and start with a post by CLXXXAG. The short of it is that the AG article is nothing but a puff piece; a dressed-up press release and nothing more. I see; you thought the AG article might have substance ... no, the substance was removed from the article by FMIC. J

The same way they removed the soul from the Guitars ?
Something like that. The gentleman whose screen name I posted, he wrote the article and it was he who advised that after he'd turned it in, either the AG editors - at the behest of FMIC - edited it to FMIC's satisfaction or AG surrendered the article letting FMIC re-write it. I guess there's one other possibility ... that FMIC commissoned the article in the first place reserving final editorial rights however the article as published was no more informative that any other advertising literature. AG isn't exactly the NY Times but it was tough to see how easily they took their pants down.

Thanks West, I still buy my AG magizines at the local news agent, he puts it aside for me, and we have a chat about music each month...pretty ole timey cool.......but alas I may suscribe this year, ( to the actual magizine....not ready for the "on line version' ...yet ) and if I do so, I'll order that back issue, just out of morbid curiosity. I must say that right now Im finding the 17 pages of comment around that article one heck of an informative and compelling read! WOW! Good on you folks! SG

Hi guitardude: Be aware Hans' book only covers a limited time period... a lot of us are waiting for Volume 2 hoping it will at least take us up to the end of the Westerly period!
