After a few hours I can say , it’s so loud unlike my Taylor that’s extremely mellow sounding.
I can’t wait to compare it to my friends Martin d18 sound wise. I can’t play his d18 because it’s left handed lol

What model Taylor do you have, Jared?

So, are you thinking "keeper" or not?

Most Taylors have a "compressed" sound to me compared to Guilds, but not quiet. Having said that, my 655 is definitely quieter than most of my other 12s. That's solid maple though, so maybe not surprising.

I have an 2002 Taylor 410ce and it’s definitely a lifer. It used to belong to my friend who moved cross country.

I will probably bring it in for a setup especially considering how perfect the set up on my guild is .

So that's a dread, right? What wood is 400 series? Just trying to compare it with your D-40.
