Hi guys As you know I'm working on a 50's Aristocrat. The neck needed a reset and thankfully it had a heel cap.
Now I have another question. This one appears to have two posts inside it under the bridge. Are they supposed to be there ?
If anyone has an inside pic of the bracing it will be much appreciated.
Thanks Alex

First guess would be sound posts...those more knowledgeable will jump in shortly...and likely ask for a pic.

Do you have any photos? All of my hollow M-75s (1954-1970) are completely hollow with no sound post connecting the front and back under the bridge. Guild did make a version with a sound post under the bridge but it was in the early 1970’s for a couple years before only offering the solid body version.

No "soundpost" in my one but certainly somebody could have added them later on.

From the factory they have just two big braces under the top, nothing else. They are there to screw the Franz pickups in.

Here is my 1956 one:

Those 3 views are through the removed output socket hole towards the neck block:

Thanks So Much Ralf. That is exactly what I needed to see. After I posted I gave one of the "posts "a nudge
It moved right away and I know now that they were two 3/4" hardware store dowels. Maybe a previous owner was a rocker
who played really loud. If they could only talk ! Thanks again Alex
