Is there a difference in tone between the Starfire IV Mable neck Vs. the Mahogany neck?

My Facebook account was hacked 2 months ago, I managed to get my Facebook page back, but can't get on Facebook Marketplace. I think someone posted a fake ad, and Meta has blocked me. Meta says they won't review my requests anymore, they don't tell you what the problem is, and there's no way to get to a human on Meta.....Meta gives me the creeps, a weird bunch of nerds behind a wall!! Does anyone recommend a good buy and sell platform...besides Reverb or Craigslist??

No....I don't know that one?

I don't know it well either, but I know some who've been trading on it for years

A stop tail makes it more like a gibson 335 style guitar. I have both plus a ES345 so I like mine either way.
Thanks John

Thanks Les, I just bought a Newark St. used......It's nice, but the USA ones have more of a handmade feel.....Still looking for a USA Starfire!

I imagine they havent sold it yet because of the picture...
Ha! We don't know if it's a maple or mahogany Starfire IV. It's like purchasing something from a mystery grab bag.

Guess we have our answer! If anyone is interested in this, "Chris" at GC was very helpful (I can give you his direct number).

It looks like the bridge pickup bezel was drilled (not uncommon, unfortunately) and also perhaps the bridge is one of those Gotoh units that can be adjusted fore and aft on the bridge studs. Tough to say with the low rez photo. Maybe this is one of the '97 SF-4s that had the bridge alignment problem. That adjustable bridge was Guild's solution.

Edit: Upon further review, I think it's the regular Gotoh bridge not the adjustable one.

I was going to ask about that bridge... caught my eye.

I bought a Starfire IV from Atomic Music....Ser#AG001458...I'm guessing 1999 or 2000. Mahogany neck 1.73....It was the nicest one I could find for under $2k shipped.
