Has anyone played these? I've been using D'Addario Silk and Steel, and the LaBella Silk and Steel sets are expensiver (not quite Thomasik prices) on my '67 F-212

I've had LaBella strings on my classicals before, Steve, but never used their S&S sets. I'll bet they're great.

I have used La Bella pb strings in past on my Guild acoustics. They are great strings. Better than D’As imho. Of historic significance, it’s quite possible Guild used La Bella strings way back in the day before their adoption of D’Addarios. I am talking Hoboken era.

I took the old gal (the F-212) to Matt Umanov in NYC for some work a while back, and he did a great job! when I picked it up, he told me that LaBellas were the string to use on her ... I guess Matt, and chazmo, and Westerly Wood have helped me make a decision. thank you, all

Steve, silk and steels are not my favorites. I have enjoyed them on some very loud instruments that dealt well with the dampening effect on the wound strings, but I do like to let my guitars sing... I've never had an F-212, but I imagine s&s work well on them. Nor have I tried PB s&s strings. I might have to do that some day as I am definitely intrigued.

Good luck.
