It's my understanding that Madiera was Guild's budget import line in the 70's/80's, with a twist. Guild shipped the components to Korea and Japan, where they were assembled and returned to the USA for sale. Supposedly they're top quality instruments, and have the Guild sound. That twelve string would be worth a look at the price.
