Finally getting some pics of her post-setup. This guitar feels really good, the neck is actually perfect and doesn't feel chunky but I don't have that much to compare it to. The setup helped with the pups a bit but I am still changing them out. Just waiting on some Mojotone custom wounds to be completed. After the setup, new bridge and new P90's. I'll be keeping this one unless really pressed for the cash.

very nice Mojo. You can get it to work for you, you just have to find that "guy" to tap it in to you, then the majic will happen ;)

Excellent, Mojo. That trans black really looks nice. I like all three colors the '90 comes in, even the green. World-class guitars. 8)

What kind of amp do you have? Didn't I read in another thread that you thought the P90s were too bright? I might be wrong.

Either way, it's freaking hot! :)

I have a Pignose G40v, it's a 40w tube amp...but in the next week I will have a Carr Rambler so that'll solve my amp issues.

My pickup woes are all solved too, these are going in the Blues 90 on Monday!

I dont have as much tom compare it to as other Blues 90 owners but the neck feels perfect on this thing, definitely not too chunky at all for me. Played it for about 2 hours today!

They sound phenomenal, the new pups really made a difference. They sound great clean but when you attack them they start to get really gritty and dirty. I am actually glad I didnt drop the extra $125 and go with the Lollars, the MojoTone's sound perfect to me and they are also made locally so that helps the local economy. This one is a keeper. I actually find myself playing it more than my SFIV which surprises me.

Welcome Jimmy.

Just out of curiousity, why don't they put the selector down by the control knobs?

dh

Not sure why Guild decided to do that, but I can say that I greatly prefer it on top like this one. I've owned a Peavey Wolfgang which has the switch in the same place and there's no confusing where to go to change pickups. I get all confused with all those volume/tone knobs..... :) Oh....and my archtop has the switch in the "right" location.......

I've had guitars with the switch in many spots - in fact I still do.

SG/S300/Strat - by other the controls
Jackson - in between the other controls
Starfire - bottom bout
X170T/LesPaul/Gretsch - upper bout

I prefer it up on the upper bout. It's a more natural move while playing to reach up and flip it for me. That said, I adjust pretty painlessly between them.
