Attached are some pics of my new guitar. I am waiting for 2 bridge saddles and a TRC.. thanks Hans.

This is my first post with pics so wish me luck.

The pickguard is broken around the input jack so if anyone knows where to find a original replacement let me know. I did find some online places that will make me one, but would rather have an original.

A good luthier can probably make a close-to-exact copy of the pick guard. Another option is to simply reinforce the back and glue the crack closed to make it structurally sound and less than obvious. Good luck!

This is a line of guitars I don't really know anything about - what's the difference between an S-65D and an S-60D?

Hello drc,

With that pickup configuration (that is with 1 humb.) it could be an S-60 ( not S-60D) or and S-65D.
The serial number points out that it is an S-65D. An S-60D would have 2 DiMarzio SDS-1 pickups.

Sincerely,

I take it the switch on this is just a coil tap?

Not a coil tap as in humbucker/single coil but I guess you could still call it a coil tap. If the guitar is still original then it should be wired as a series/parallel switch.
