She arrived safe and sound, I’ll admit I was nervous when i first turned it on. I flipped the switch and that ever so familiar vintage tube amp aroma filled the air, but no smoke or crackling noises! I plugged in the M75 and slowly turned up the volume, and it works! Well kinda. It fads in and out and some noise issues with the tremolo, but it does work!

I may get it fixed at some point down the road, but for now I’ll just proudly display it.

It certainly is a nice looking amp. Great for photo sessions with your Guilds. :)

My interest in it was due to the crisp logo on the grill. Fletching I think it’s called? Lots of them lose that.

Nice score!

Had a two tone Masteramp years ago and never thought of it as a cool antique display item. Great idea! That would be cool especially when displaying 1950's Guilds!

Oh that's nothing. LOL

Turret board amps are actually not bad to work on. They're usually easy to trace because most everything is where you expect it to be.

True point-to-point amps are where the fun begins, though some would argue that they're even easier to follow, but I tend to disagree. :)

On those amps you have almost direct access to each and every component. No need to pull all guts out because the parts are soldered on pc-board that is connected to tubes on one side and front plate pots on the other. Naturally soldering is underside . . . .
