Thanks for the warm welcome. I need some string recommendations now if anyone wants to offer some suggestions.

I have had G.A.S. many times in the last year. I have bought and sold many guitars looking for the one and getting educated as I learn to play along the way. Sometimes just looking to use some as trade bait to get what I wanted. Ovations, vintage Yamahas, a jumbpo Larrivee, and the latest was a Gibson J150. I have to say this Guild guitar has been my favorite so far.

Regards,
Tony

Not done with the testing (are we ever?) but so far, light Elixirs come on top.

Welcome to LTG Tony, the DV-52 is great guitar :D So far the only Guild in my stable is a DV-52 so I might be a little biased  It's one of those guitars that feels like it will last a lifetime, and sound really good while doing it. I have only had mine for a few months, but so far the strings I favor are either Elixir's or D'Addario's both in medium. I have not tried the D'Addario Bluegrass set yet, but it is next on my list.

There are a lot of great folks and a lot of knowledge on these boards, so sit back, kick your boots off, and stay for awhile.
