Just like to post a hello .
I found this site while looking for info on putting a bigsby on my guitar so it can be used more in my rockabilly band , I have a 73 Starfire 4 , in cherry red ( mahogany ) originally with harp tailpiece which i still have .,
I've owned it for about 9 years , bought jan 2001, as i had the dearmond version and fancied the real thing instead of an Es 335 . I treid both and the guild won as far as sound and flash , with the colour , and block inlays , also the master volume has been a real bonus as i always use it to vary amount of drive .
i've used it in nearly all the different bands i've done ( mainly , Rhythm and blues , rockn roll , 60's garage etc) .
it 's the most versatile guitar i have !
I also have a US made '62 reissue strat , 60's type tele copy , and Gretsch electromatic pro jet , but the guild is top of the pecking order and is my no1 go to guitar
I put a Guild branded Bigsby on from a Sf3 , without tension bar ,(i prefer more free wobble !)
it might need some more fettling to get the action better but it plays well , and now sounds better with more twang ! i'll try to put up some pics very soon .
anyway thanks for accepting me into this forum , and watch this space for info on vintage amps etc that i also have (GAS ?)

will try to post some up ,hopefully when i've had some sleep and got my head around loading pics onto this forum !
will be giving the guild a shakedown through the super reverb tomorrow , at rehearsal , new written songs to try out on my bass playin' Buddy , I never thought a starfire can sound so greasy ,but with a bit of slapback , a wobble from the trem and a spot of verb , puts a gretsch to shame ! i feel i'm gonna have to put some extra grease in my hair to handle all this hubub!
( you will get used to my maniac jiberjabber , I've been listening to a lot of scre  amin jay hawkins of late !)

Thankyou Dane !!
At last , i opened an account , and it worked , I7m not technical minded when it comes to computers , I can fiddle with guitars all day , and even valve( tube amps ) providing they were built a long time ago , which brings me to the old photo of the guild with my selmer zodiac , which i'm trying to sell as i don7t really use it , i'm more into the fender amp sound ( super or vibrolux)
anyway i'll post some more up soon! thanks again !
