Hello fellow Guild fans. I purchased a brand-new Westerly D-140 with vintage burst this past September. Overall, I really love this guitar but one change I would like to make is replacing the plastic bridge pins. This is not my first Chinese Westerly Guild and it seems I can never find direct fit pins in bone or wood. I also have a set of Tusq traditional pins and as is typical with everything else, the shaft is too thick for a proper fit. Anyone know of a source for something that would be a direct fit without having to get into the arduous task of sanding the pins to a narrower profile? PS I also loath the thought of boring the bridge holes larger on this beauty. Many thanks for any help you can offer.

I was going to recommend getting some bone pins from Stewart MacDonald, but odds are they won't be a perfect fit without sanding.

Contact Bob Colosi and I'm sure he can set you up. He might need you to send him your pins though... Not sure.

If you have calipers you can send him measurements of your current pins if you don’t want to send a pin.
No calipers :( but no issues mailing a pin either :) I read up on his website and he has instructions for how to send them. I'm definitely going to send for some replacements. Thanks, everyone!
