Cool, congrats! I'm looking forward to your NGD report! I know some folks who love those pickups while others are left flat by them so it will be interesting to see what your take is.

I'm looking for ward to it also. I have had a few Gretsches and all of their pickups have left me unimpressed, and these look rather similar. But, being mostly an acoustic guy, I may not be the best judge of pickups.

I had one years ago. I totally regret selling it; super fun guitar to play. I’m a big fan of the PU’s; they put out a fat, clear tone.
Getting another is definitely something I want to do.
Looking forward to your NGD report.

Being mostly an acoustic guy, if it doesn't blow me away I'll let you know.

They're not Filtertron-like, they're traditional humbuckers with good clarity.

Well, this was not their fault. #1 it was posted on the Guild Owners' page, not even the Guild Buy Sell Trade page. #2 it was not on marketplace. #3 we used Paypal, and I ignored the warnings and used the friends and family instead of the Purchase Protection function, so there is no recourse there, either. Looking back on our messaging, all the signs of scam were there, but he was very good. I have searched the name and the email he used on Paypal and came up empty on a very good people finder site I use. It appears both his FB profile and his Paypal email were fabricated. I did post on the FB Guild Owners' page about it so others would not be taken in - for all I know, he may have scammed a half dozen (or more) people the same way with the same set of photos.
So, lesson learned, fortunately it was only a couple hundred dollars to ship, balance on delivery thing (red flag right there).

Arrrrgh! So sorry to hear that this happened! :( You might warn the folks on the FB page that scammers are out there.

Oh, OK. So it wasn't even listed in the Facebag marketplace? I'm gonna' agree with you then, Wilmy. Bad move. Lesson learned.

Anyway, good luck getting back on the horse.
Thanks, I will. Lesson learned. Not everyone is honest.
