NGD 2012 F50 Maple

but I did buy a guitar! I just received this 2012 F-50 maple from triple G
When I lifted the box, I thought they had shipped the guitar without its case because it felt so light. I looked it over and it's flawless, 4.8lbs! The only problem is the action is a little too low which is the best problem to have. Sounds great, even with old strings. I'm done! Might be selling off a few guitars now.

Quite possibly, boomer. The F-50 is "the" model that I know brought several friends of mine into the Guild camp. One of my colleagues from the Ibanez Collector's World forum used to talk wistfully about an F-50 that he played in his youth. I'm not sure if he ever got himself one, but I know that opinion was widely held among my player friends... These New Hartford F-50s are "best in breed" in my opinion.

This came strung with old .011s. When I put on a new medium set, it really came alive. Love the almost piano-like tone, and balance across the strings. I was surprised to find a rosewood bridge plate. It arrived with strange action, .06" on the bass side, .09" on treble. Luckily, I had a spare saddle and got the action where I like it. What an embarrassment of riches

Doesn't appear to, you'd see the controls in the sound hole.

No, this guitar never had a pickup system installed.
