Dude!

I tend to prefer my SG-shaped guitars to be bright red, but that thing just KILLS.

Easily the best looking S100 I've seen. I was right - I would have liked that one!

Looks like it has just the right amount of Mojo. Enough to remind you that it's vintage, but not so much that you go "eww - too much mojo!"

I can vouch for the sweetness here. My SN is an astounding 4000 off from yours. How late does that push this one?

I don't know, but the SN on this one is quite a ways past that bolt-on neck S300 walnut that's been threaded here.

BTW - Stig's '77 is 214 digits after mine.

For those scoring at home, my cherry '77 S-100 is nearly 4,900 digits before your sunburst S-100, and althought it's not an S-100, my cherry '77 M-80 is 16 numbers after Stig's.

Sounds like a fairly productive year.

Too much mojo? Were you referring to this?

With Qvart's beautiful sunburst, we have now amassed nine vintage S-100s between us. When Qvart told me to "go vintage," he must have realized that it was pretty solid(body) advice, because he added two more to his herd after I went crazy acquiring all of mine.

The outside shots confirm what I've said already and what GAD confirmed, that this is the best-looking S-100 we've ever seen. :D I think it looks even better with the closer-to-the-bridge tailpiece spacing, leaving more sunburst goodness to be taken in by the viewer. Have the wider tailpiece spacing, or a Guildsby, distracts somewhat from all that lovely sunburstness

Yeah, but let's be realistic: That Guildsby detracts in no way from the sunburst Guild goodness!

I wonder if the burst would be better with a clear pickguard. Hmmm.....

Probably not, because it wouldn't be quite the same shade underneath.

I'd have to agree, after all, the sunny Deluxe is my Holy Grail Guild. I guess I'm still starstruck by the beauty of your new sunburst. Oh, and I really dig the new avatar!

Late to the party, but I did enjoy the ride!

 WOW  WOW  WOW

Can anything more be said (other than congratulations)!?

Nicely done Qvart, and thanks for the two suspenseful threads!

Glad there is a VERY happy ending! :)

It was, wasn't it? I'm so glad he got it. The thing has a hypnotic effect on me like Matsickma's cherry S-100 Deluxe did when he posted it last December. Maybe it's the quality of the photos, but more likely, its that they're two of the best looking S-100s out there. Whatever the reason, I just can't seem to get enough of either of them.
