I'm finally back to where I want to be. Two Guilds. The '72 F-40, and my just arrived '93 Artist Award in showroom condition. Just installed D'Addario 12-52 nickel rounds.

That is stunning. Congratulations on making it to guitar heaven! That tobacco-burst or brown-burst or whatever it’s called is my all time favourite Finish. I don’t think I would be assuming too much to say I’ll bet it sounds as good as it looks.
Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone who is praising my new addition to the herd. Despite some negative opinions expressed on LTG concerning the humbucker pickup, I have to counter with I think Guild used the pickup in order to give the guitar a new sound, one that was a bit more modern in timbre. Not that I don't like the single coil Rhythm Chief pup. The 1100 is more authentically picks up the woody sound of the carved AA top. The humbucker goes well with the 12-52 strings. This set also brings out the acoustic capability of the AA. When I get a chance, I'll make a recording and upload it to SoundCloud.

Rich:
You are all about quality and your AA is certainly that. Love that burst.

Oh my goodness! I haven't seen an AA with a burst; only Blonde but there again I was out of circulation for more than 20 years.
Congratulations;)

Congrats, Rich. Agree with the others. Stunning! Bravo. Thanks for sharing the awesome pictures, as I think you showed us this guitar earlier and the burst looked a little dark for my tastes. It's obvious in your pictures that it's perfecto!!!!

Is the bridge on correctly? In one picture it looks like the harp is going opposite "direction" as the bridge. It's probably an optical illusion, but something just looked a little off to me.

It looks fabulous. I'm sure your be able to dial in that pickup just the way you like.
I bet it sounds pretty sweet unplugged too.

I was not aware that heaven had a showroom, but if that's what showroom condition looks like up there, I can't wait! Of course, I'll be checking out the drum set section first...
