I've had this D20 for about a week now and I have to say I love it. Built in 2017. It's a much smoother tone than my D40 but still big and bold sounding. It's dry and woody as you would expect from an all mahogany guitar. Build quality, playability, and tone are on par with my D40T, which I think says something for the 20, being quite a bit cheaper. I ordered an eBay pickguard for it. We'll see if it fits. If not, I may be making my own.

Small tone sample:

I don't really mind it without. I just prefer it with one. Guild's unique shape says "Hey, I'm a Guild!" from 50ft away.
Yeah, they do that!! The only pickguards I have on my guitars are on my two Guilds. The others don't have them. In the final reckoning it's your guitar, so slap a PG on that puppy!!

Those D20s are the bees knees, for sure. What I love about the sound is that it is deep and mellow without sounding muffled or soft like a lot of all mahogany guitars. Nice score.

New pic with pickguard. Not exactly OEM shape but I like it. More like a 70’s D25/35.
Yes, that’s the shape I prefer. Could you please share where you purchased it? Don’t need one right now, but you never know.
