Guitar arrived today from Sam Ash. No issues. Sam Ash called it Very Good condition. If I were to list it I would call it excellent. I can't find a thing wrong with it outside of the TRC orientation which I know drives many of you to near insanity but doesn't even register on my "gee I'm annoyed" Barometer. Excellent action at about 3/32" at the 12th fret Low E string. The Spruce top is lovely and it has some great looking Mahogany back and sides. I also like a lot the high gloss finish. I'm not sure what the electronics are. I would guess Fishman or Baggs but it's the type I prefer with the V/T control wheels inside the sound hole. The OHSC is just as clean as the guitar itself.

I've forgotten what large voice these little guitar have. I've owned many over the years but haven't had one in quite a while. It projects really well. You won't confuse it with the volume of a Dreadnaught or Jumbo but there's plenty there and it has a really sweet sound. I suspect a really good finger player (which is not me) could really make it sing but it will work just fine for my purposes. I personally have always preferred this model to the M 20 although I must say my M 30 is also superb. This F 20 has the 1 11/16" nut width which is my personal preference.

I'm more than pleased and in fact am nearly ecstatic. This is one of the better deals I've found on Reverb. Here's a few pics and please excuse my always crappy pic quality.

Very nice! Congratulations!

What year is it? Looks like a New Hartford model?

Very nice Richard, congrats! Gotta love those New Hartford builds. Simple appointments on the Standards but high quality workmanship where it counts. Perfect little getar for noodling around on the couch.

Agreed. There's a lot of guitar for the money on the NH Std. models. I've yet to be disappointed. I'm pretty sure it will be more than a couch picker though. I'm gonna try it out at open mic sometime in the next few weeks. My gut says it will do that very well.

Likely very well. As long as it’s mic’d you will get all the volume you need, plus the benefit of improved bass clarity that your don’t always get from a boomy dread.

It came with a pretty nice electronics system so I won't have to worry about mic placement etc. Not sure what it is but likely a Fishman or Baggs of some sort.

Pretty sure it's a D-Tar Wavelength, same as my F50ce Standard. Should sound pretty good plugged In.

That looks and, from your description, sounds awesome, Richard! Looking at small bodies myself, I'd been focusing on short scale necks, but definitely need to reconsider that after seeing this beauty. Love the full gloss finish, too. I'm not a fan of the satin/matte finishes that are so popular today. While product marketing may tell us it allows the guitar to "breathe" and resonate better, the companies are enjoying a major cost-cutting savings not having to buff to a mirror finish. Congratulations on a beautiful find!
