That's too bad. I'm curious what issue was behind the very low saddle? Did the neck bend? Or was there a lot of bellying on the top of the guitar?I had it looked at and the neck reset cost is pretty high
Most 1990s Guild acoustics I have seen in person have more bellying than they should for a guitar of that vintage. They also tend to have sound hole cracks. They are very nice guitars but perhaps not super durable - at least the ones I have seen. (in contrast the Guild electrics from the '90s are superbly built) In the future you may have better luck with the acoustic Guilds made from 2008-2014 in New Hartford. The current ones they are making in Oxnard are not too shabby either! I also really like and recommend older Guild acoustics made in the 1968-1972 period.
