Is it really tobacco?

I'd guess that info came from Hans as the seller, and if Hans said it is Tobacco Sunburst...

Is it really tobacco? It looks Brockburst in the pics. I *love* brockburst, but am not a fan of tobacco.

Brockburst tends to have more of a deep deep red where tobacco tends to be more brown.

During the period that this guitar was made you could order a Nightbird in various different sunburst finishes. The most popular ones were Cherry Sunburst and Amberburst; Tobacco Sunburst was not a regular finish at that time.

The top finish on the guitar in question is neither Cherry Sunburst nor Amberburst. Here's a photo of the guitar that I made when it still had a couple of aftermarket humbuckers.

It was taken without any artificial light and it is pretty much what it looks like in real life. I have no idea what it will look like on your monitor though.
