Perhaps some of you saw this on Reverb recently. I grabbed it, rounding out my little collection of late-90s Westerly Starfire IIs. I like how these guitars feel and sound. The looks aren't too shabby either. This one came with the bridge pickup adjusted a bit on the high side, and that gives it a little extra kick.

Yeah, that one is a real beauty, and with SD1 pickups! Nice score Tuberous.

Excellent - congratulations!

I just gave myself an (undeserved) present in the way of a 1997 Starfire II.. it's dark red or at least so it seems.

How many in your "little collection" so far?

That is a stunning guitar. Starfire IIs hadn't really been on my radar before but I'm now enlightened. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely beautiful! I have a sunburst '97 Starfire III with a swapped-in harp tailpiece - but it retains the aluminum bridge, so it's almost a II. Such sweet guitars!

That sounds fun! Please post a "family shot" when you have a chance.

And thanks for the sound advice - I truly need to stop and enjoy all sixty of them... not long ago I found a nice Telecaster of mine I had completely forgotten about.

Very nice!!

Could you offer any observations on the difference in sound between the maple and mahogany SFs with SD-1s?

Thanks!
