Ooooh -- nice! Excited to see it when it's done!
16 weeks to get back from painter…oh well. Fun part is going to be disassembling the pickguard to make tracing for new pickguard.

Interesting that the serial # makes it an ‘84.
I just checked a former post from Hans that I had saved and the ending numbers for the years 1981-1983 should be:
1981 #AD100304
1982 #AD101342
1983 #AD101509

Hence your one is a late 1983 one.

Ok…back from painter and looks great. Needs to be put back together now. Note: the new paint covered up the old serial number. I have pictures so I know what it is…should I put a label with the number on it in the pickup/pickguard cavity? Guessing those origami Guild serial numbers were pressed in after original paint jobs…

No down side in putting the serial number on a decal on the back side of the pickguard. Pictures with the new paint before the rebuild? I love seeing a good restoration!

Oh that’s purdy!

I hate stickers. I’d put something in the pickup cavity.

Painter believes the wood is “soft” maple…would explain the lighter weight and grain.

When was the picture taken from the previous page? Wasn't that before the guitar was stripped? (confused??)

There's a picture of the body of your guitar (I think) in the color it is now, Skylark. I'm talking about this picture (from March, apparently??)
