You guys. Always with the conspicuous consumption of these toys of the bourgeoisie.
I'm s-o-o-o jealous.

Qvart said:Of course, if your '73 was carved as well, you could say you have a clutch pair.
bluesypicky said:And if my 73 was carved, it wouldn't be a 73 right? See? See?!!! Sometimes I pay attention....
Thanks Mojo, I wouldn't say I went as far as hating it, but I sure would have never considered buying one, and then it grew and grew on me until it became a necessary step in my GAS evolution.... a little bit like a doctor's prescription if you will.MojoTooth said:i used the hate the carved but i have been liking them more and more as of late and this one is simply a beauty BP.
bluesypicky said:I thought I read somewhere that the carved were made between 74 and 77.... Never mind. :?

Larry Esposito said:Hey Bluespicky,
Real nice score.
I'm holding you and Thunderface responsible for my s-100 lust. I came here looking for info on a guitar I used to have and got schooled on the virtues of this fine instrument. Your Youtube video put me over the top. Love the tone, I'm sure a lot of it was in your talented fingers, but I'm holding out hope that I will get me some of that sound.
I unfortuneately missed out on Thunderfaces '77, but I'm on the hunt.
Enjoy the new find and post another youtube with it when you get a chance.
bluesypicky said:Seriously though, don't back down and stick with "vintage", (BTW don't forget to blame Qvart too  )
Larry Esposito said:OK, then Qvart, This is an announcement: Find me one!
Larry Esposito said:One question for the experts: Is there really any difference btw the early 70's model to the late 70's models? I know the bridge was moved up, does this effect the sound at all, or just the feel?
Larry Esposito said:Also, I think the 1970 version didn't always have the phase switch?
Larry Esposito said:So, ideally, <shhh> I'm a huntin for 1971-1975 vintage, or 1971-1977....heheh...wabbit season..
