Excellent, Pascal, and that guitar's a beauty! Great Robben Ford Band backup there, too. 8)

Awesome Pascal! Nice !!!
When you find some time, post a few fresh pictures, so we can see that Daphne Blue a bit better. Maybe you put her next to your Fourgonette !

Thanks all...
It realy is a special guitar, and it really IS a collector's dream. Looks as new as any unplayed 2012 guitar, but with the start of a slight (and charming) yellowing of the binding and pick up selector cover, a sweet thing.

Good idea Ralph, I will take a pic next to the Citroen and see if it's just me, or if it really is more green than blue. (but I've been known to have some issues distinguishing differences between some blues and greens, so I'm not surprised I can't make up my mind here.... )

Pascal,

The color reminds me very much of the classic Bianchi bike color "Celeste"

During my cycling days, I never liked it, but my riding buddies always said "it grows on you" It does, really. 8)

All correct Pascal, you noticed the binding aged to a light yellow. Well, guess what, the whole Nitro is getting more yellow. I would guess they spayed clear nito on the blue during production, so that clear Nitro is getting yellow now. And what happens when you mix blue color with yellow color? You get to green! So yes, it would be normal I would say that the whole guitar looks more green than it was when it was produced.
I don't know what lacquer the Citroen used back then and if they used clearcoat on top. The Citroen looks definitely blue to me and so there will be a difference in color visible.

Look at this example, a aged (reliced) Daphne Blue Strat! And a 2012 Fender Custom Shop 1959 Esquire Relic, also in Daphne Blue!
See what happened where the clearcoat went off? Blue again!

Your M-70 looks still pretty blue compared to those two below, I guess your guitar stayed in the case most of the time.

Good thinking Ralph, as usual...
And yes I agree that my M70 obviously spent more time inside the case than out.
I'll try and work on some outdoor shots to get the best light next to the Citroen, when I get home later theis afternoon....

You know Jim when I saw your photo montage, I thought to myself: Now if only you could do this on a whole video clip, all I have to do is sync up a sound file, and no need for a camera any longer! (only problem is I would have to always play the same tune.... :( )

And what fun would that be for you and us if you always had to play the same tune all the time.

Soooooo here we go:

As you can see against the different shades of blue found all over the Citroen, the M70 looks even greener.

Note to Frono: I am deeply hurt by the fact that you haven't even said a word about this clip, when you are the only reason why I made the effort to wear my reading glasses.
Just a "thank you" would have been nice.
Now I know who my real friends are. (icon placed just in case someone would think it's not humor)

Duh, what clip? I have been watching but if you asked me about the guitar I would say it had not arrived yet and the only imagery posted was a Photoshop of the new guitar into an old still. Clearly I am missing things. perhaps I need to wear my glasses too.
