Here's a recent Craig's List buy. It's a 1973 built in Westerly and it's a player grade which was what I was pretty much looking for.

This one had some cracks that needed tending to plus a set up, and a fret level and dress. The saddle is about as low as it will go but I knew that going in. Action is about perfect for me and although I've never been a huge 12 string lover, this one sounds really good to my ear. Is missing the TRC but that's ok with me.

Here's a few pics:

Hello Richard,

Your posting reminded me of your truss rod cover request some time ago. For some reason I didn't check it right away and unfortunately I forgot about it. The truss rod cover is a rare variant, but I have one for you. It will go in the mail after the weekend.

Cheers!

The smallest in Guild's 12-string family! Congrats!

Richard, That F112 looks nice, and is just like the player grade 1970 F112 you sold me a couple years ago (below). My neck angle is off, and the saddle is as low as can be, but the action low and it sounds great. My first Guild and up to 6 now...Dave

Good start Dave. I'd like to see your 6 tripled to 18 in the next couple years. (I can help with that) Yes, the F-112 is a fine example of a smaller bodied 12 string.

Richard, what a nice F-112 you've found. That's one of 2 guild models that are on my list but every one that I've seen, so far, has major issues with body rash, neck angle and or neck scabs. I gather that these F-112s must sound spectacular since they all seem heavily played. Good luck with your newest acquisition;)

Thanks. It does sound pretty great. Certainly not a collectors piece or a case queen. It's been well paid but that doesn't really bother me all that much.

Richard, I was hoping to make it 7 tomorrow, but the guy sold it today. It was a 1970 F412. Perhaps you made the drive as it was in MI...

Dang it, now I'm feeling the need to replace my '77 F112, which had a catastrophic headstock break. It's had a crude repair that makes it playable, but I don't think it's worth trying to repair further.
