Top-Mount Guild Bigsby

I just snapped at a Guild Bigsby on eBay, top-mount, no screws.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7335168540

I don't have a use for it - no solid-bodies here - but I bought it in case someone else in this community might want it, and to prevent it falling into other hands.

I'll be happy to transfer it to someone at cost, US $79.95 plus shipping to me and on to you. Or else I can just list it again.

Let me know by email, kidder@telus.net.

Cheers,
John Kidder

Hello Daniel,

Not 100 % sure but I believe I have a 'stairstep' one. Let me take a look and I'll get back with you.

Old Guild Parts

Hi everybody,

Some time ago I promised to make a list of all the old Guild parts I had bought before the summer. Meanwhile I've received a lot of e-mails from people who were looking for particular parts and most of them I was able to help out.
Since then I've been working on my web-site and if everything goes as planned, then my web-site will be launched on January 1st and it will have a section with some of those parts. Since I need to photograph them all, I will slowly add some more during the weeks following.
As soon as we have taken care of all the little bugs, I will post the link here on LetsTalkGuild.com.

Meanwhile I wish you all the best for 2006. Happy Holidays!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Hans do you have any ice cube knobs, as on 50's Guilds? THe clear smooth variety? If any one else has some I am looking for 2 though I would certainly buy 4 if need be.

Hello Billy,

No, I don't. The stuff I recently bought is not that old. There are many people looking for those knobs. Are you looking for the 'silver' or the 'gold' version?

I'm currently negotiating with a guy who has some and who thinks they're worth a million bucks. He needs some stuff from me and obviously that stuff is worth a million bucks as well, so I hope I will be able to trade him out of them. We'll see! It might take a while though.

By that time my web site will be up and running so you can check.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Great website - great parts!

Now I need to do some upgrade thinking (once I get through some personal priorities).

And, of course, a Happy New Year to all!

Hello Hans. Have just bought an "84 Starfire from Rumbleseat Music, and am awaiting delivery. This was apparently a custom-ordered guitar, and as such, has gold hardware fitted. However the p/u covers and selector switch appear to be nickel / chrome. Would you happen to have these parts in your possession in gold finish please, or know where else I might enquire ? Kind regards, Gary.

Hello Gary,

I assume it is the Starfire 4 Black Special you bought from Rumble Seat Music? I've seen pictures of that guitar and if I remember correctly, then it did have gold-plated pickup covers. Might be the photos, but I don't think you would need them. However, if you would like to get shiny new gold covers, I would be more than happy to help you with that.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
