Peter Cetera 1976 singing ... and playing an F-512 with some nice inlay work.
I can't really see it up close, but it's probably an F-612.

F-612 has an 18" lower bout vs. 17" on the F-512. I also think the -612 has a longer scale. -612s are basically unobtainium. I've never seen one or heard of one being sold in the last 5 years, and a few people that have posted of them here and elsewhere have not produced any pictures or follow-up to confirm they really have 'em.

The inlays on the pre-production years (prior to '72 I think) could be found with a lot of variety. I've seen a number of -512s with the uncommon inlays and some stuff in the bridge as well that stopped later. So, inlays in and of themselves don't tell you the model.

Cetera's axe was a -612, if I recally correctly. True unobtainium.

I should mention that I think I convinced Guild managmenet to produce a limited-run paisley F-612 from New Hartford. NOT! ;)

Crap! Paisley is my favourite colour, then plaid.
A paisley shirt with plaid pants and white loafers always worked for me when trying to impress the ladies at the local moose club

Hey Jim, just hanging/lurking around. Trying to figure out when we can make our next trek to Tejas. What a truly beautiful state you live in sir!

Missing, big time, you and the lovely Mrs. West, Scratch and the equally lovely Mrs. Scratch, Rusty and the lovely Mrs. Rusty and Harry and the lovely Mrs, Harry, though I had better spell Hairy correctly for the Mrs.

I have yet to meet Toni, aka LadyTexan, and what a great avatar she has!!! It will happen though whether she likes it or not!

Thanks Toni but I'll need a transcript of what was said to verify whether it was delivered as I wrote it or not.
