Wow, what a guitar!
Crazy good tone unplugged, loud, clean. Later through a Fender Tremolux Reverb, yummy, lots of good tones.
Belongs to a collector I've been emailing with for a while, we finally met. Has an impressive collection. That was the only Guild, but if you only needed one Guild, its impressive.
Insane condition, and it is for sale, didn't ask the price, but online prices are nuts.
A 1958 he figured, but was looking to an expert to date it properly.
I'll try to get a serial # and post it.
In equally clean brown hard case with Guild NY logo.
I just emailed him and suggested he post it on CL so I can link it to the site.
If someone here is looking for such a beast, I'll relay his info.
Retired guy about my age, collected in the hope of starting his own store. Every guitar he had was neat and not the usual and I played them all.
He says "When you leave, all my guitars will be in tune" ;[]
I can tune any guitar in seconds without any need for a tuner. I don't even like tuners. Maybe a tuning fork to get the A string right, the rest I do by ear.
Wondering if tuners shrink your hippocampus?
