I just picked up the Starfire III that I described in my first post and now need help determining the date. The number is AG302257 and all the charts have the Westerly models ending at 301183. This beauty has the Westerly sticker inside and all looks stock except for a master volume knob down on the cutaway arm. Can anyone help me determine the date of manufacture? thanks! Edited to say: It has the scalloped pick guard w/ the scripted Guild logo.

Well, I'm on the road for two weeks w/ no camera and really no expertise in publishing photos either:). Just found her in a pawnshop yesterday and bit this morning...my first one! Hope someone can clear up this date thing though...thanks all! When I get home I'll clean her up and shoot some pics and get them on here.

Hans Moust in the Netherlands is the only person to give you the info for the serial numbers made after 1997. But he is traveling right now, without any internet access, so you might have to wait for him returning from his trip.

Hello drrock,

Make that very limited access to the internet and this is one of the very few occasions that I can get on-line!
Anyway, I can tell you that your Guild Starfire was made during the year 2000.
Please show us a photo! Would love to see your guitar!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Thank you so much Hans! Been all over the net trying to figure it out to the point of a headache! Safe travels my friend and I'll post up pics as soon as I get her cleaned up and can shoot some. Again...thank you!
