For sure with the DeArmond Rhythm Chief 1100 pickup! With the weird, thin humbucker that followed it in 1988, not so much. But then it got better again with the Benedetto S-6 pickup.

Yea DeArmond pickups are really great. They are exactly the sound I hear in my head or on an old record that I'm looking for. Very much sound like the acoustic voice of the instrument. I've never played one with one of those humbuckers but I've heard bad things about them. I would definitely change one of those out with a DeArmond or a Johnny Smith.
