Once upon a time (in the old forum) I thought I used to see a thread on how to post pictures. I've looked high and low, but I just can't find it.

Since I've never had a reason to post pictures before, I never tried it. Now that I want to I don't know how.

Can somebody help a computer illiterate, or point me to the thread that tells me what I need to know?

Thanks,

Jeff

I'm as computer illiterate as they come Jeff, and somehow, I do it all the time. you need a photo host..........I use Photobucket. I download, unload, offload or reload, whatever you call it, my files to Photobucket, then grab them out of Photobucket and attach a link here, Facebook, wherever. You can do this! : ) As you can see, I still haven't figured out the smileys here.

Jeff,

If you use Photobucket, at your right hand, near the photo, you'll have an option to get a link to that specific photo. Then, to publish it here, you'll have to press the "Insert Image" button, which is the second from right to left, in the bar above where you write a reply.

Hope it helps.

All the best,
B.

Joe,

Mmm, maybe, this is related with the forum configuration that everyone of us have defined... For instance, I've selected:

"General Settings" => "Miscellaneous Options" => "Message Editor Interface" => "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing".

So when I click "Quick Reply" I have an "Insert Image" button.

Better?...

All the best,
B.

The (very small) icon looks like a tree in a box. Rollover, and it shows "Insert image." In my browser, it's 3rd from the right in the 2nd row of buttons above the text entry box when "Post(ing) new thread." It's 3rd from right in the only row of buttons above the text entry box in a "quick reply."

Thanks everybody, I think I've got it figured out. If it worked right, I've posted pictures of the F-47K in my "Guilty as Charged" reply to the F-47K thread in the Acoustic forum.

At the bottom of the page on the left you should see a box labeled posting permissions. In there is says code is on.
Whatever image hosting service you use, you should be able to get the url for each pic.
simply wrap the url with the [img] tags.
