Prayers for Levon

I'm sorry to say that it looks like it probably won't be long on this earth for one of my all-time heros Levon Helm. Seeing this makes me doubly glad that I've been able to make it to a few of his Rambles up in Woodstock.

Very sad indeed. I've always enjoyed his sound, his talent, and approach to his music. I never got around to ordering his most recent CD. Looks like I may be doing that soon.
EDIT:
Seems more time has passed since his excellent album, 'Dirt Farmer' than I knew.
Two more albums. :shock: Electric dirt, and Ramble at the Ryman. I've ordered both today.
Sounds like by the time they arrive, the listening will be bittersweet.

Gosh, this is a blow, I am so very sorry. Levon has always been a big hero of mine. The music of The Band, as well as a lot of his later music, is simply Magical.

Sad news, indeed. Levon is an American musical treasure. He beat cancer once, so I guess these last years have been a bonus.
