I have a Guild Prestige S/N JH000059, which I think is 1990. I can find very little info on this instrument - I am rather assuming they wwere not made in high numberas or for very long. It is a great electo-acoustic by the way.
Can anyone direct me to any more information on this?

Thanks - that is the one! I get the idea they are quite rare. Any idea of production numbers?

I once had a pretty burst Prestige Classic (I think) Prototype (according to Hans). When I got her I'd never seen a guitar so dirty........dusty, grimy. I don't think she'd ever been wiped down. Astonishingly, she cleaned up and literally looked and played like a new guitar. Someone from Australia from this site offered me crazy money for her, and paid crazy money for me to ship her, and to be honest, I couldn't bond with it acoustically, though if I played through an amp, we may have bonded.

I have only had mine a few months. As a stage guitar plugged in it is really excellent, despite the certainly that the last 30 years have seen huge improvements in acoustic pickups. I think by the standartds of 1990, it would be outstanding. Given the depth of body. the unplugged sound it acceptably loud, but I do have much better acoustics unplugged. I use it as a stage guitar - and it sounds great and looks cool.

Glad you like her Keith. They are unique guitars for sure. :)
