Welcome to the forum! $1200 for an X170 is a lowish price assuming decent condition and those are great guitars! You can't really go far wrong at that price. If you get it post some pictures! :D

Welcome. $1200 is the lowest I've seen for a blonde '90's X170 that was on craigslist and it didn't last long as well as an orange X170 recently that went for less on ebay. The ebay one had a low BIN that was certainly intended for a fast sell. Those are few and far between. Really depends on the condition of course and the flame. Generally the sunbursts go for more. If its in good shape jump on it! I love mine so much I've got two :D

One more thing if I may. Often when I see X170's the bridge has been replaced and/or the pickups have been switched out. An example of which can be seen on ebay thats listed as an X70 (it is a X170). The pickups on this blonde example have been switched but he's stated the originals are included. I'd have to take any modifications into concideration of course and bid accordingly.

I paid $1200.00 for my 1992 X-170 and couldn't be happier. Just watch the neck angle, some of these can have a really low bridge with no lower adjustment available. They are just all around a great guitars.

I've owned two X170s. Price in my experience is $900-1400 depending on condition and the motivation of the seller. For use Guild freaks, it also depends on what pickups are in there and if it's been modded.

Earlier this year I sold a blonde 2001 X-170 in mint condition (guitar and case) for $1285 plus $50 shipping, so $1200 sounds reasonable for what you are describing. I had previously bought an orange X-170T which I still have and love, and of course GAS "forced" me to get an X-500 as well. Good luck!

I chose to sell mine about a year ago - blonde, 1996, all-original. It took some time, but I did finally find a buyer at $1200.
