Excellent, GG!

You beat me to it this year, but everyone please pay attention if you live in an environment that requires heat in the winter months. Most heating systems will dry out your air in your home, and guitars really don't like that.

There are several videos on the internet about guitar humidification and the damage dry air can cause, particularly from Bob Taylor (Taylor guitars). Educate yourselves and avoid the problems that you'll kick yourselves for a lifetime about. Trust me; I'm talking first hand here.

"First hand". Oh, dear!
Yes, my two "heirloom" guitars (because I've had them most of my life) cracked badly years ago because of my own ignorance. Learn from my experience. And, I'm very tough on myself. I've been angry at myself every time I look at the damage (long since repaired), and I would spare you all from that!

I’ve had my two large AirCare systems running since Nov 1. I have them set to 50 to give the house a little head start going into the upcoming dry months. Then I will work down to 45. I also have started refreshing the water beads in my DIY soap box case humidifiers. Winter dryness? Bring it!

I haven't needed to turn on the humdiittyfier yet, but am about to. Thanks for bumping this, Mike!
