PU change X-170?

Moving to another part of the city, job, holidays and so on: not much time for the x-170. But: The Goldtone PU in the neck position sounds even more then great!

I don’t know what kind of drugs the local luthier prefers. He found a solution to flatten the PU frames but than he connected the poti-cables in a very funny way. That means: I have to carry the guitar to the shop for a third time.

It takes time. The warm and powerful sound of the already working PU tells me: It is worth waiting.

Old thread ... just want to say: finaly, already sometime ago, the PU change went right. I am very satisfied with it’s results (though, I know, we changed some original Guild-parts ...). Sounds great, looks great! Actually, I’ve got a problem with the firewire-port of my Mac, when it’s fixed, I’ll try to post a file to compare »before/after«.
