The lead guitar player from Pulp used a 345 for Common People, the first song they performed on Fallon last night. For the second song, Like A Friend, he broke out a sunburst Starfire IV (pre-67). You can see both performances here.

Also, I'm never sure if Miscellaneous is the right place to post these kind of links. Maybe there should be a "Guilds on TV and Youtube" section.

Edit: Just read the index more closely. I suppose posts like this should go in the From The Store section, which is for "What we're currently listening to, watching on Youtube, Myspace, etc. Share your favs of other performers." Question: Why is this section called From The Store?

Nice find! Mark Webber used the red ES-345 (as seen in the first video) a lot in the past, I had not seem him with the sunburst Starfire IV on stage before.
The Starfire IV is an early 1966 one, has a lot of wear, it was bought from ebay in September 2011, so he has it only a few month now. (I watched the ebay auction back in September, and the large worn out spot, where the arm works on the finish, matches it perfectly). Nice to see Pulp with a Guild Starfire IV ! I was a big fan of them when "Common People" was a big hit 10 year ago or so. And it's still a great song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XlCFJA3yL4

I'm sure you've heard William Shatner's cover, but in case not...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ainyK6fXku0
Unfortunatelly that specific video is blocked in Germany, many videos are not visible in Germany due to some legal issues between Youtube and the GEMA (GEMA represents in Germany the copyrights of more than 64,000 members (composers, lyricists, and music publishers), as well as over two million copyright holders all over the world. It is one of the largest societies of authors for works of music worldwide.)
But that one works in Germany: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zc4Avp-6YBk (no video, just audio)

I must say I'm liking the sounds I'm hearing out of the 60's Starfires (both clean & dirty) on the above clip & others by The Shins etc. Thanks for posting these.

I also love Common People as a song & was also going to post the William Shatner cover. There used to be a live version on youtube complete with Joe Jackson & Ben Folds which was epic! Here is a slightly more interesting video of the studio version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuyV76SG6qg

This video and others from the same performance, which have been posted before, remain the best examples, I think.
