Questions about a case for M-20

My M-20 came with the original chipboard case (which I didn't bother shipping here). I got a very good Taylor Gig bag for it from my local store and since it doesn't leave the house much that has been OK. I'm really thinking it deserves a hardshell case.

So, here are my questions:
#1. Has anyone purchased a new case for their M-20 and if so what did you find and where?
#2. Does anyone have a GAD M20 for size comparison? On the Guild site under specs I just saw that the lower bout is 13 3/4" which is about the size of the M-20 lower bout. I can't find the rest of the measurements.
#3. If, for some reason, in the future, I decide to sell my M-20 (no decision yet, just speculation) do you think I'd get the hardshell case investment back?

here are the measurements I got for my M-20
lower bout 13 5/8"
upper bout 10"
body length 18"
depth at end pin 4 1/8"
overall length 38 3/4"

Thanks for your thoughts and comments, Joan

what is this, M20 week or something ?

Hi Ian! Well, what the heck as long as it's a hot topic...I'm looking at case sizes and some are just about an inch too short in length so I figured if someone's already done the research and found one what the hey. joan

Jan,

I bought a GAD case for my F20, it was listed here by another member. She managed to talk her local music store into selling her the case without the new GAD guitar. Here's the thread.

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=11385&p=119481&hilit=gad+f20+case#p119481

It's a perfect glove fit, I knew this in advance since I tried a
case from a GAD here in my local shop. They wouldn't seperate the case from the guitar. Guild has no part number for the GAD cases (leastwise they didn't at the time), word is the cases come from China only with new guitars.

F & M 20 cases have been discussed here several time & so far no one has found a production case that fits properly. Close but not quite. Previously I had a case designed for a Martin 00, it was as close a fit as I could find & I looked at dozens, just a shade too BIG & needed some padding to properly cradle the guitar. I traded it it to John Kidder & if I'm not mistaken he was interested in selling it.

And that's a beautiful looking F20 isn't it !!

Thank you,

She pictures up well, it's had some restoration, in real life there's quite a bit of playwear.

It's a great little guitar.

Thanks for the info Jeff and a chance to take a gander at your F20, she's a beauty. I noticed it was about a year ago that you were able to complete the great case caper. Good work! Joan
