Red-throated Loon rescue

My friend, Doug, and I were successful in freeing this loon from a tangle of monofilament lines on a crab pot this afternoon.

Yours truly w/ Red-throated Loon

After checking for any injuries and feeling the healthy bird in my hands, I released it into the creek, where it started diving immediately and flapping its wings. Success!!
