On today's playlist is the Martin Grand J12-40E. It was supposed to compete with the F-512, but fizzled after just a couple of years. Obviously, I like it a lot, otherwise I'd have an F-512.
Didn't know you had one, GG. Yup, the "Grand J" body shape that Martin introduced with this guitar was not a huge seller, but these guitars are supposed to be wonderful. They are definitely an homage to the Guild F-512!
I have the 6-string version. Really beautiful instruments with the most articulate and rich tone I've ever heard. I just find the neck uncomfortable and mine has 2 1/16" spacing at the bridge.
