Thanks Jerrymac, nicely explained.

It all comes back now; I'm a bit bummed with myself though for forgetting.

I don't think Clapton got such a great deal though. I'd have insisted on Patti's sister Jenny being part of any deal as well !

Oh, those Boyd sisters !!

Oh, '60's English chicks in mini skirts !!

Ah.h.hh..hhh... Jennifer Juniper. Donovan Leach.

Anecdote:
I asked a buddy back in those days, "Hey, what exactly is juniper, anyway?"

He thought for just the briefest moment and answered, "It's that planet out there right next to Saniturn."

That's a good 'un Mark.

Jenny not only had looks, but brains as well.
Later, gained a doctorate in psychology.
She and Mick Fleetwood have a couple of smashing-looking daughters !

Right on, Coastie! Smart women have always been it for me. The two girls I dated in high school both have PhD's:
One in Spanish, a professor at Wisconsin Lutheran College
The other in Music, on staff at Juilliard.
... and it goes on from there. Unfortunately, being smart, they knew to dump me!
The biggest sexual organ has always been the brain. Nothing hotter than a big brain in a miniskirt.
We had a receptionist once who could've been a Victoria's Secret model, but intimate relations would have required a bag over her brain.

So she looked good but she was a "three bagger" anyway!?

Hello everybody!

I'm new in this forum and I want to ask you as experts about this Guild.
They told me it's an S200 but my knowledge about this guitar is less than zero..

The guy need a setup and maybe he want to sell it.
Where I can find some informations about pricing?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Max: this works better if you reduce the size of the pic in PhotoBucket or whatever you're using before you post it. You can edit the IMG data out of your post, re-size pic elsewhere, and then paste it back...or something...

Hello and good luck w/ your Guild!

Hi Maxtick,

The guitar you posted is a heavily modified Guild Thunderbird. The obvious modifications are the finish, the pickups the knobs, the tuners and the repair holding the input jack. Additional issues are parts of the Hagstrom Tremer vibrato are missing. However the most significant alteration I see is that the modification cut away the lower two corners of the guitar that is sometimes refered to as a "shark bite" bottom. The "shark bite" bottom effectivly added little subtle "legs" to the guitar to allow it to stand up on the built-in guitar stand. Is the built-in stand still mounted to the back of the guitar?

As I look at maxtick's Thunderbird with the removal of the "shark bite" bottom I notice it begins to resemble a Non-Reversed Gibson Firebird.

Howdy... here's my first post here...

Sorry for my non-native-speaker's English :)

Well.. legendary Thunderbird..

First time I spotted this unique guitar was when I saw legendary US garage r'n'r band Dead Moon...

Here's some article about guitarist Fred Cole and his ( probably '63 ) Bird :

http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Ve ... eends3.htm

Finally, after many years.. last week.. I found and purchased from private seller in Italy my dream-bird... much modified, but it kept it's beauty ( P-90s instead original singles, new hardware, pots, switches.. ), quiet rare sunburst-single coil model from 1966, serial: SC 146.
Have original singles with it, but in moment, I keep playin' on previous owner's set up.... 2 Seymour D. P-90 + one extra added vintage Tele lipstick.
Also it came with it's original lil' manual :)
I played few 60-ies vintage Fenders and Gibsons.... Bird? Far superiour! With it's feel, ergonomy... wood just sings... Back then, this guys really made GUITARS.
Eventually, I was lucky this guitar is modified that much, because it's price in original condition would be quiet too much for me...

So.. here's some pics:
