Darryl,

This may blow you away...it did me. I've just read in "Acoustic Guitar" magazine that the GAD 30 is built with a bone nut and saddle.

Pardon my ignorance, but what kind of bone gets used in saddles and nuts? Is it all fossilized? Does bone cost more than all the new stuff?

 Hey, beats me....all I know is what the Guild GAD ad said in Acoustic Guitar magazine. I wouldn't have a clue where they come from, but would think they would be fossilized.

I don't wish to point the bone at anyone particularly, but there is a bone of contention here. Some of you are bone idle and should bone up on the subject. Now, I make no bones about it when I say you'll be as pleased as a dog with a bone when you improve your geetah's tone with bone ! And I ain't being bone-headed.

Do all you old geezers still get bones ??

I believe all bones from that factory were those from male animals Smith. What ever happened to that plant manager there?

Make no bones about it, starting this thread was a real boner on my part.
I had hoped we could get down to stuff like plastic vs micarta vs bone vs turq and the various ivory. I'd just like to find out what the factory placed in the different models. Being bone headed, I shall persist!
