Saturday night show

Got to see Tommy Emmanuel Saturday night in Atlanta.
The things he does with a guitar are not possible. The sounds he gets out of it are at times unreal. And he's tuff on his instruments. He had three new guitars, said he had to retire his old ones because he couldn't get the sounds he wanted out of them any more. The finish already being worn off the new ones.
Standing in line waiting for the theater to open my friend asked, "You'd let Tommy play your guitar, wouldn't you?"
After watching him beat the absolute crap out of his for about a half hour, I turned to Russell and said, "Hell no! "

Watching him work over a guitar's neck, body & strings with a drum brush is painful. But he sure puts on an amazing show.

I saw Tommy some years ago here in Vienna. He's a great musician and a great entertainer. I hope he'll be back here some day …

I enjoyed the show immensely. Great entertainer. Just a little hard at times to see the way he "plays" his instruments.

He is amazing. I think he can make any guitar he touch sound excellent no matter the condition of the instrument. Always I have been a fan of his since first I heard him play as a child.
