A friend gave this to me today and I had time to watch it, and WOW! I recommend this to anyone who loves music and a great story that you might not have heard.

Longtime fan here, But I had to move here to Australia to find out about him!
Finally got to see him live here in Sydney last March, and it was a wonderful show. Great Doco. Amazing, talented and humble man.
Needs more exposure.............His songs still ring so true, after all these years. Perhaps more so nowadays.

This is a documentary that needs to be seen and I recommend watching it in a quiet setting (I watched it alone) where you can truly focus as story unfolds. Don't try to multitask....focus.

Part of the fascination for me came from seeing the depth of obscurity he reached and then the dedication of the people who found him to bring his story to light.
The film itself was beautifully done.

It was a good find for me to end the year, :smile-new:

+1000.....Wonderful story indeed. It showcases why some of us just keep on, keepin' on, writing songs or whatever, with little to no chance of renumeration or acknowledgement.

Idk about sweet because he is still busting his butt doing construction which he did for a long time until some success found him. A feel good story though. And...very nice tunes!
