I’m a big Steve Marriott fan so these had been on my radar for a while now. I know it isn’t the lone P90 model like Marriott used but I figured this could be rigged to fit me better since I never got along with most single pickup guitars outside of a Gibson DC Jr that sounded amazing but the QC was absolute doodoo (had a gap between the fretboard and the neck shaft by the nut) so I ditched it to get my DV-52. So wanting that tone again I pulled the trigger on this with the intention of putting a P90 in the bridge and possibly leaving the neck pickup alone unless it sucks in which case I have a SD Firebird pickup that can take its place. Can’t wait for it and the Silvertone 1472 amp I ordered to arrive.

It is a sad state of affairs for Gibson when the QC for the stateside stuff gets slaughtered by the “cheaper import”. Wildly impressed with the new Epiphones these days ever since they ditched that doofy looking headstock and put in CTS pots from t he factory.

That's spiffy, Rambozo.

What's the history of the design of that tailpiece? Is that thumbscrew thing some sort of adjustment that runs through it? And is that a button on he treble side next to the bridge, or perhaps an attachment for a trem?

I guess the previous owner removed the arm for the tremolo which is fine because I was never big on Bigsby type tremolos.
