Indeed. Wonder what happened. Anything we need to do, Don?

During a Google search, I found this most accurate description posted five years ago by barbara (bdeclee): "I am a member of the spectacularly well-informed, highly-regarded, and all-around entertaining forum "Let's Talk Guild," which you can find at http://www.letstalkguild.com. In case you all didn't know. Check it out!"

Well put, Barbara! :D

LTG coming back strangely coincided with the announcement of the New Pope

Blessed are the Guilded? :D

Just in time indeed.
I was polishing my Martin and getting ready to play it at the jam tonight.
I guess I spent to much time on the Martin Guitar Forum while we were down.

We sure have short attention spans, don't we! :D

Cindy was on the verge of calling 911. She said that I was unresponsive and lacking in my usual zest for life.
Nothing in any of our medical journals covered LTGWS (LetsTalkGuildWithdrawalSyndrome), but now we're back and I won't need to be put down after all! 8)

Phew!

Even Al is good! :D
In fact John, I tried to give you a heads up via the outside world's email but even that one came back after a few hours with this curt little piece of advice:
"Last attempt failed because:
SMTP greeting from host read:
421 Too many concurrent SMTP connections; please try again later."
Too many people tryin' to call Australia again.
Sheesh. You'd think them Aussies'd want to interact with the outside world and put up some more lines..Not like those insular Kiwis across the way.
I guess since the abos are telepathic they figure the rest of the world can just go ahead and catch up?
Now, anybody heard from Gary yet?

 I may have been the first here to be locked out! It was late night in USA when it all fell down.
"Verboden!" .........."Forbidden".... No Lets Talk Guild!!
So I decided to 'Play' a Guild instead.
Actually only late afternoon out here on the Left Coast.
Thought maybe Frono went a little funny in the head and unleashed one or two too many autonomous rogue software apps at once.
I understand a similar effect can be achieved by using a classified 23-key keystroke combination to log in, but I think he would have fixed that quicker.

I had no access all day long and only tonight the first message can in again. I had the feeling like I was in China today with blocked access. I almost thought my employer blocked the page! But it seems like it was a global issue with LTG. Did we not pay our bills?

I just realized that was probably a joke.
I'm pretty sure you've been around when this has happened before, right, when it was some kind of screw-up at the server level ?

Yeah, no explanation from our host, but a similar thing happened back in November. They couldn't see anything wrong, no signs of hacking, but the only thing they could do was restore the site from the latest backup. All in all, I can't complain. We've been using the same host since this incarnation of LTG started back in '05 or '06 & there's been minimal interruption in service, & always a quick response when I've needed to contact support.
