Finally saw one of the NH D-40 STD models on Reverb

Nice looking guitar. Tuners have been upgraded and it has the highend case.

One additional model that I haven't seen mentioned (but that I own) is the G312, which was made at least in 2012. IT's essentially a 12-string D50 Standard (with the wider neck, nut, and saddle that you'd expect). I bought it because I liked the idea of a dreadnought 12-string and I liked my D50 Standard so much.

Interesting, I don't see a G312 in any of the catalogs or price lists from New Hartford.

Information that I found on the G312 shows 1974-1984. So the G312 you own is from New Hartford 2012 and is a Standard Series model?

A New Hartford G312 Standard has been on my radar for a long time. I actually had bought one quite a while ago, but returned it because the seller had misrepresented the condition. I haven't seen another one since!

I think they were only made in NH for a year or so. Very uncommon model.

I missed that. Thanks.
So, I need to add the G312 to the Standard Series list. And I guess the F-412 from 2012, too. Cool!

I would not consider the F412 part of or related to the Standard series because of its appointments. However I see that it is categorized as a Standard series. I thought it was outfitted similar to the F512?

It is. The F412 was definitely not part of the Standard series.

There was never an F-412 Standard series, guys. That's definitely a misprint in the catalog.

If I recall right, I paid $1,999.00 for my 2010 F-30R standard bot in 2011 from Elderly Music in Lansing, MI. Still have it and sounds better than ever! BTW I play 80/20 GHS 12’s on it.

I still haven't heard from anyone that has had one of the D-40 Standard models.

Me me me!!!!

Best sounding guitar I own/have owned. Bought new, first new guitar I had purchased in 35 years.

The JF-30 comes knocking occaisionally but the D-40 Std...with gloss neck...eventually wins out on the apple/orange comparison.

Has a nice silky top, good straight grain hog and just an all around no nonsense instrument.

Flashback in time, I just paid $1,999 for a NOS 2012 F30Rce in 2023 in CA :). I see from the price list it is one of the most expensive of that full series too, look forward to playing it.
