There is a Chet Atkins/tweed Pro connection - he played a tweed Pro with a JBL before he got his Standel.

That said, while I personally love a tweed Pro (I have the two "other" amps with that same circuit, a bandmaster and a super), it wouldn't be my first choice for Chet-picking, not enough realistic clean headroom/volume for that with a big hollowbody.

Speak of the devil, check these out!
Hi W: only for the collector ... can't be fixed without wrecking them and no one knows how they work anyway (no schematics :( ) Good color selection though  .

I think the Ebay seller was implying the ones he's selling are NOS, and can be used to replace modules in Standel amps that have gone bad - but I posted them for entertainment value - i'm not about to buy a solid state Standel...(or any other ones, for that matter! )

Understood; interesting approach to it though. Sold by color, not model or part #. +1 on transistor electric amps

http://www.standelamps.com/support/sche ... _mods.html[/url][/quote:3uahfqq5] You're right spiderman; there they are. What do you make out of the 'possible update' for the green module? I wonder how anyone would know whether the eBay green module is an updated module? I wonder whether a stock amp could take an 'updated' module without modification, got any idea?
