Awesome work as expected....
What did you use to get such a smooth surface on the neck pocket walls? Some kind of power tool?

What happened to the bass side of that neck joint in the first place? That was a nasty break.

Lookin' good!

That's new wood used to rebuild the neck pocket.

The guitar was involved in an accident, in a weight room as best I can remember the previous owner telling me. The neck was broken off the guitar. The guitar was in two pieces when I aquuired it. You can see part of the neck pocket stiil on the neck dovetail, in the pictures before the repair.

Well it's been far to long since I've posted on this project! It been a little busy in the shop to be working my own projects, but some work has progressed on the SF-12. I am at the point the neck is just about ready to go back on. It has been several years since the two were joined, It was broken off quite some time, before I aquired the guitar. The finish work is complete, and once the neck is back on it will be on to assembly, wiring and setup. Then the real fun starts :p I don't quite know what to expect :? I have never played an electric twelver.
If it sounds half as good as my SF-IV, it's gonna be fun

Anyway without further ado, here are some pics of where it is now

Great stuff Tom! That neck joint sure looks clean now, and this one should complement your '67 nicely.

Color me jealous.

With her, it's hard to tell one end from the other.
I understand one technique is to wave a piece of pie in the general vicinity and see which end sucks it in.
