Saw this S-275 on the Verb. I liked that it didn't have the later shredder type headstock. Because of the non-original pups, missing phase/tap toggle, and a little binding split; I made an offer of $400.

I'll see how it plays when it arrives.

Pet Peeve: I do wish folks listing instruments for sale would take smarter pics. For example, in this listing there's a lot of redundancy yet no closeups of the bridge/tailpiece or lower frets. Grrr…

Nice guitar! Too bad the electronics was messed with. Also the 4 knobs are Gibson knobs. But it all can be fixed.

Recount Ralf, only 3 knobs on this one. When they put in the Burstbuckers, they also wired it Volume-Tone-Tone, instead of the original Volume-Volume-Tone, which is just wacky. They also use .047 ceramic caps, instead of a .022, so it sounds too bassy overall, unless the tones are dimed.
Im going to rewire back to V-V-T and use a .022 orange drop instead of those crappy ceramic caps. The Burstbuckers are basic two conductor wires, so I won't be able to add a coil tap or phase switch back in, unless I put in other pups.
Overall it plays nice. Nice skinny neck like I like!
